By order of BC’s Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry, effective today, Monday, November 9, 2020, Place des Arts will transition all in-person dance classes online until further notice. Please see update here!
Students will be contacted directly regarding the status of their class(es) with details about how to connect online. Yoga classes will be cancelled for the next two weeks.
All other in-person classes at Place des Arts will proceed as usual. However, in an abundance of caution, effective Monday, November 9, 2020, masks are mandatory for all ages in all classes and private lessons, except theatre classes where face shields are required with mandatory physical distancing.
Place des Arts has implemented an excellent safety plan to ensure the health and wellbeing of students, teachers and staff. Class sizes have been reduced and classrooms have been modified by installing transparent barriers and increasing the physical space between students and teachers. Other safety measures include limited, monitored entrances, staggered start times to reduce pedestrian traffic within our facilities, onsite student health screening and enhanced cleaning and disinfecting procedures.
