Place des Arts’ music students can showcase their talents and perform during the 2024/2025 season at music concerts and community events.
These public performances offer students the opportunity to have fun and build confidence, showmanship, self-expression and dedication.
Student Concerts
All Student Concerts are held in the Leonore Peyton Salon at Place des Arts. The first four Student Concerts of each season are open to students of any age, instrument and skill level. The senior-level Student Concert in May is open to students of any age and instrument who are at a Royal Conservatory of Music 7+ (or equivalent) level.
Teachers sign their students up to perform via a sign-up sheet that is posted one month before each concert. Students should speak with their teacher(s) directly if they are interested in performing at a Student Concert.

Teacher Studio Recitals
Many of our private music teachers hold their own studio recitals in December and/or June each season, inviting all of their students to perform should they wish to. Students should check with their teacher(s) to see if they are offering their own studio recital(s).
Community Events
Place des Arts music students have the opportunity to perform at various community events and exhibition openings throughout the year. Students should speak with their teacher(s) if they are interested in performing at one of these events. The Music Program Manager will then coordinate with teachers about possible upcoming opportunities.
