With school back in session, it’s a great time to learn something new, even as an adult! Art workshops are an excellent way for people of all ages to learn a new skill in a constructive, fun and non-judgmental environment. Below are the top 5 ways you can benefit from attending a workshop.

  1. You are learning something new. Maybe you’ll find something you’re good at! By taking a workshop you might find a new talent you didn’t know you had that turns into a lasting hobby. And if it is something you have tried out before, this could be a great opportunity to learn a different approach or technique while connecting with other like-minded people.
  2. You have something you can take with you. By the end of your workshop, you will have something physical that you can bring home. Whether you want to gift it to someone you love or display it in your home, it’s a thing you can be proud of and is guaranteed to make you smile.
  3. It’s good for your brain. Art is a great stress reliever. It can be an outlet for anyone who wants to express their emotions or a space to be creative. Using your hands and being inventive is good for your well-being. Also, we all know it’s important to take time for yourself, and a workshop is a great place to do that.
  4. You’re learning under a professional. Unlike with YouTube videos, you have someone who is hands-on and can help you along the way. All our workshops are taught by skilled passionate artists who also teach at our organization. This experience has given them a unique ability to work with people from a variety of backgrounds and levels.
  5. No time? No problem! With workshops, there is a very low time commitment. If you want to sample something new, this is the best option for you. Our workshops are between 1, 2 and 3 days on topics ranging from painting composition to basket-weaving.

With the weather getting cooler, workshops are a great opportunity to get in from the cold while improving yourself. Take a look below at workshops we offer for kids and adults.
