Place des Arts’ Flying Colours is Coquitlam’s first and only multidisciplinary arts summer camp for students with developmental and physical disabilities. As the only camp of its kind in Coquitlam, Flying Colours provides a rich, arts-infused environment where young participants can explore their creativity through visual arts and more, guided by arts educators, volunteers, and support workers. The camp’s specialized visual arts classes will help support each camper’s self-expression, coordination, and sensory development, creating a holistic and immersive arts experience.

Due to unforeseen circumstances related to facility renovations this summer, we are cancelling our Flying Colours camp originally scheduled to take place from August 17-21, 2026.

After careful consideration, it was determined that, given the impact of the renovations on the facility, we would not be able to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our campers.

We understand how much campers and families look forward to this experience, and we are very disappointed that we cannot proceed with the camp.
