Biography

Shaina Mae Madriaga is a Filipino artist who strives to be creative every day. She constantly uses different mediums and believes in trying any new art form at least once. Her interests lie in fantasy, sci-fi, pop culture and general fiction. Shaina enjoys working on multiple projects at a time and tends to keep her hands busy with any new bits of inspiration.

Artist Statement

The scene you see is a proof of concept of a world called Wander Yonder where common critterfolk battle heroically against the manifestations of nature, magic, and everything in between. These manifestations are so monstrous (both in size and power) that it threatens the common life of those in Wander Yonder. It’s fantasy through and through, even going so far as mimicking a dungeons and dragons battle map.

But what happens when something in our reality makes way to this fantasy?

Enter the Rat King. A unknown being to the Wander Yonder world who is an amalgamation of feral rats that doesn’t seem to fit the whimsical setting it broke into. All that stands between it spreading it’s infection is a simple but united band of heroes. Ready to fight tooth and claw to ensure the safety of their home against this new threat.

Will they succeed? Will the Rat King prevail?
