Current visual arts teacher

Biography

I studied Art History at Belgrade University, Fine Arts at Langara College and ECUAD.

I’ve taken part in various artist residencies, facilitated and participated in community art projects, open studios and city art events. I have been running art programs and leading workshops for children and adults for over 15 years and currently teach at Place des Arts and Arbutus Club.

My fields of exploration span mixed media, installation, photography and poetry. I examine the interplay of light, lines, space, texture and typographic forms. After graduating from Expressive Arts Therapy, my interests in intermodal expression further expanded, as this model of psychotherapy is using the flow of the creative process between different art forms (dance, drama, visual arts, poetry) for healing and growth. It’s ongoing work with individuals, groups, communities and myself.

Artist Statement

I am grateful to work at Place des Arts and be a part of its rich and diverse community. PdA is fulfilling an important mission to grow talent, to support inclusive creativity and to foster a vibrant local culture. The work that I do here as well as the events and activities that I follow continue to inspire me and are reflected in my practice as an instructor, artist and therapist.
