She loves animals, art, gardening, sci-fi and fantasy, and witchcraft. She shares her home with her two cats, dog, and her beloved husband who understands her sense of humour.
Artist Statement
I wanted to challenge myself to make another art doll, as a sort of sequel or continuation of the piece I made for the Community Exhibition last year. This doll allowed me to try new techniques for making a piece of art that was posable and interactive.
This particular doll is inspired by my sister’s sphinx cats. The entire doll is hand sculpted out of polymer clay with the final details painted, sewn or otherwise made by me.
