In my art, I explore heightened emotions and the dichotomy of dark and light characteristics of humanity. I see balance in the relationship between the honest and loving angel versus the confident and cocky demon. Like yin and yang, these characters complement each other—I connect with the demon and am always looking for my angel to complement me.

Throughout my life, I have gone through rough patches and with every high there is always a low. You might not see when I am upset, but I can feel it. Mental and emotional pain can manifest into physical pain over time. Heightened emotions can be scary sometimes just like blood. My acrylic portrait was created to be a powerful and distressing visual for viewers, to show that everyone is going through something.
