Art is a process, that transfers ideas from my mind to my hands. The art I create is expressed by how I perceive reality and the need to expose that “reality”. Whether it be realistic portraits or cartoonish paintings, I enjoy giving my art a filtered look of the world. The mediums I choose depend on the time and mood, however, most of my pieces start out as digital sketches before being transcribed onto canvas. Within the limits of acrylics, I express my obsession with seeking reality in different forms. Through the theme of reality, I try to expose and capture the shared differences of what people can see, think and visualize in their minds. In my art, I want to show that reality is not what it always seems and that there is more to it than what we really see. The use of colour in my paintings depicts different feelings and sentiments that help shape the reality I want to depict in my art. On the road to becoming a full-time artist, I look forward to exploring new mediums like 2D and 3D animation to see how far the road takes me as I navigate through life and my reality.
