Artist Statement
The Etched with Love series is a group of six colourful 4×4 inch mixed media paintings that blend ink and acrylic paint. The series depicts life as we see it each day as an expression of love. Colour for me is an expression of life. In life, we are surrounded by colour, from green grass to the burnt orange of autumn’s leaves to the brightest yellow of the sun to the turquoise waters of a lake and all the vibrant pinks and purples of wildflowers. To move through life with the best intentions is love.
Biography
Kathleen Tennant is a mixed media artist. Her colourful and unique work has had worldwide exposure with her licensed greeting card line distributed through the United Kingdom and the United States. Kathleen’s work is full of colour and texture, which represents life as she sees it, torn edges and all. Through her art, Kathleen tries to inspire people to focus on the positives in life and toss any worries into the wind. Kathleen loves seeing how paper, paint and ink blend together to create art.
