Current student at Place des Arts (2025/2026 season)

 Biography

Am fortunate and proud that my wonderful 53-year career includes being a wife, a mom (who ever stays home?), an inspired Gramma of 5 and a friend to many, while being a visual and ceramic art student at Place des Arts, for 40 years.

When not playing in the clay, I enjoy dabbling in watercolours, sketching, golfing, Tai Chi, walking, knitting, sewing, gardening, reading, cards, games, cabin maintenance, longtime friendships and family…(not all in that order, but all fun).  🙂

 Artist Statement

I practice creativity, daily… no matter the medium.

Nature, people and a keen awareness of shape, colour, shadows, design and function in everyday life inspire me.

I began classes and workshops in the 1980s at Place des Arts, taking calligraphy, watercolour painting, drawing, artistic perspective, floral arrangement and Chinese calligraphy but mainly the always social and friendly pottery.

I have always made a variety of functional gift items and will continue attending classes until Place des Arts says… “no more”.
