With my art, I explore my identity and relationships while developing the technical and creative skills that allow me to surround myself with things that I love. I use my art to express my self-image, wants, likes and thoughts, and to share my love for my friends and family. I often uncover internal struggles through subconscious imagery and meaning that appear in my art, so it helps me grow personally as well. Moving forward, when I attend Emily Carr University next year, I want to continue to use my art to make my life and others’ lives more colourful and positive and expand my knowledge of the world through artistic research and exploration.
