My creations always tell stories: of my life, the lives around me and those that are fabricated in my mind. Storytelling has aided me in exploring my emotions, and processing stressful or negative emotions into positive ones. I work with varied materials such as photoshop, soft pastels, inks, different kinds of paint and I manipulate these mediums to bring my visions to life. I experiment with a variety of topics, such as self-image, grief, daily happenings of life and fictional storytelling. I also admire the style of impressionist paintings and that interest is reflected in my work with acrylic and oil paint. My impressionist-inspired paintings are executed in a painterly way, allowing the viewers eyes to piece the paint strokes into an image. I strive to get into Emily Carr University and pursue illustration, to further my skills to tell a colourful and deeply impactful story to future audiences of my art.
