Artist Statement
Therese’s oil and gouache paintings explore themes of permanence and impermanence by contrasting built environments with objects situated in nature. Flora, light and shadow play off the rigid engineering of the built environment in works that explore what we consider immutable. In this intersection, Therese’s vibrant landscapes capture moments of calm.
Biography
Therese Mah creates colourful works in traditional mediums. Her work is inspired by everyday objects and the landscapes of British Columbia, where she has lived for most of her life. Therese enjoys painting en plein air whenever possible. Primarily self-taught, Therese has been creating artwork since a young age. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Simon Fraser University.

- Call our Registration Desk at 604-664-1636 ext. 0 to complete your purchase. Please have your credit card ready.
- A copy of your receipt will be emailed to you. Please bring it with you to pick up your artwork. Sold artwork can be picked up during operating hours until 9:00pm on Thursday, December 21, 2023.
