Artist Statement
I find the relationship between layering and light in watercolour to be the most beautiful and inspiring to work with. With each new coat, a seemingly unfinished painting can be reinterpreted in the time of day, colour of shades and lightness of space. I most enjoy painting subjects of places and people who bring me joy, and these paintings are of my friends in their homes and my favourite places.
Biography
Simone is a painter and pianist based in Vancouver. She originally came to art when she was very unhappy during her undergrad degree and started to take a weekly drawing class as an artistic outlet. Since then, Simone has worked primarily with oils and watercolours focusing on figurative pieces set against her familiar west coast environment. In her spare time, Simone enjoys reading across a wide variety of genres and running around.

Sales are open in-person and by phone during operating hours. Sales end at 9:00pm on Thursday, December 21, 2023.
How to Purchase by Phone

- Make note of the artist name, artwork number, title and sale price.
- Call our Registration Desk at 604-664-1636 ext. 0 to complete your purchase. Please have your credit card ready.
- A copy of your receipt will be emailed to you. Please bring it with you to pick up your artwork. Sold artwork can be picked up during operating hours until 9:00pm on Thursday, December 21, 2023.
