Artist Statement

My art is a conduit to nature’s serenity, a haven from life’s cacophony. Nature, in all its splendor—flowers, trees, water, sky—inspires my work. Through my art, I convey the profound wonder and tranquillity I experience outdoors, hoping to evoke similar emotions in others. Landscapes, seascapes and the skies of British Columbia are my muses.

Watercolours, my chosen medium, offer endless challenges and excitement. They let me portray the ethereal dance of light’s colours and values, from bold to subtle. I respect the essence of watercolour, coaxing it gently while allowing its unique character to shine.

Each piece invites viewers to escape, to wander through nature’s beauty, embracing freedom and the fresh air that first inspired me.
