Artist Statement

Since childhood, I have been creating art inspired by my fascination with nature and science. I have conceptualized many ideas for visual stories regarding these topics, taking the opportunity to learn from a diverse array of human experiences and knowledge to create narratives using my art. My art is driven by curiosity and is inspired by human social psychology and the laws of nature and science.

My work explores the relationship between people and nature. I am interested in creating works that vary in art style and explore different ideas that visually relate to my major themes. I want to navigate how humanity’s dynamics build the foundations of civilization and society as well as the interconnectedness of life and the planet. Similar to how elements make up the world through interactions, people create communities through bonds.

I am a multidisciplinary artist. The mediums I use include digital, graphite, oil pastel, chalk pastel, watercolour, oil paint, acrylic paint, ink wash and gouache. This varied use of mediums allows me to express many facets of life. Recently, my work has become more digitally focused to represent the synthesis of human nature and the natural world.
