Biography

Born in Vancouver, grew up in New Westminster and now living in Port Moody. I was not formally educated in fine art or textiles but in French and English literature. Now, I am a retired art materials seller and a total fibre art fanatic.

Artist Statement

This shawl is made of natural fibres (sheep’s wool) and is hand-spun and hand-knitted. It has been dyed with natural, plant extract dyes. It is a celebration of the wonders of nature and the magic that underlies the seemingly ordinary and utilitarian.
