I believe that art should always possess a beauty that inspires admiration in the viewer. Renoir, often called the “painter of happiness,” never depicted unhappy subjects. While my philosophy is not identical to his, I share a strong commonality with his underlying beliefs. Regardless of the unpleasant events that may occur in life, transforming them into something beautiful, into something happy, is what the act of creating art means to me.

“Christmas Ornament” explores how realism and beauty coexist in such simple motif.  Across all these works, I consistently aimed to avoid causing feelings of unease or discomfort.
