I am ceramics and sculptural artist interested in experimental media and exploring different mediums. Mainly working in ceramics, but I’m unafraid to experiment with different mediums, both new and familiar. My ceramics pieces range from large scale sculptures that portray emotion and motion that are sometimes splattered with colour and textures, to small ceramic trinkets decorated with meticulous detail. Unconfined to one medium, I experiment with different mediums in my sculptures, often using unconventional materials or methods, such as foraged fish bones or foliage. My 2D art is a range of different genres and styles, as well as colour and textures. I mainly enjoy using bold colours, strong contrasts, and eye-catching shapes, but will also create pieces that are muted, subtle, and monochrome. I like to take inspiration where I can find it, which often results in styles that contrast vastly. Inspirations often include artists like Yuming Li, Ekaterina Popova, Izzy Sayer, and Kenichi Nakaya. Their styles resonate with me strongly, and influence my own art directly. I am most often inspired by nature and my experiences with it, and I find it as a common theme in most of my pieces. My goal with my art is to create things that people find interesting and memorable. I work to use techniques and mediums that stand out, so that my art can make an impact on the people that see it.
