Marysia began playing piano at age 5 with Margaret Purdy and is now studying for an Associate Diploma from the Conservatory of Canada in Piano Performance and Grade 10 Violin. She is currently studying piano pedagogy with Marjory Purdy. She was awarded medals of excellence for Piano, Violin and Theory 5 in 2014, 2017 and 2018 (respectively). Marysia was also awarded the BC Registered Music Teachers’ Association Scholarship in 2018 and the Harry & Sylvia Novak Memorial Scholarship in 2022. She participates in various music festivals in the Lower Mainland and plays in the Coquitlam Youth Orchestra. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology & Biochemistry from Simon Fraser University. Marysia wishes to share her love for music and create a positive, fun and encouraging environment for others.
