Irina Jilina graduated from Uzbekistan College of Music and the Uzbekistan Conservatory in Tashkent. Irina worked extensively teaching piano in music schools in Tashkent and Uzbekistan College of Music. After moving to Canada in 2002, Irina established herself as a private piano and theory teacher in Vancouver. Irina is a member of the Piano Teachers Federation and a Registered member (#54897) of the Royal Conservatory of Music, as well as a registered member (#3148) of the BC Registered Music Teachers’ Association.

In 2007 Irina founded the Vancouver International Festival of Russian Music in Vancouver (viform.org) and many of her students regularly performed in this annual event. In 2009 Irina accepted a position with Place des Arts where she has been teaching piano and music theory.

Irina’s students participate in a variety of local music festivals and Place des Arts class concerts. The majority of her students successfully complete the Royal Conservatory of Music requirements for practical and theory examination at all levels.
