Florence earned a bachelor’s degree in violin performance in Seoul Korea, where she was a middle school music teacher before immigrating to Canada. She has over 40 years of teaching experience.

Florence started teaching at Place des Arts in the mid 1980’s. She has performed with the Vancouver Chamber Music Orchestra and is a member of the BC RMTA. Currently, she performs as a soloist and accompanies a church choir on the violin.

Florence’s students are consistently high-mark earners, including silver and gold award winners at RCM exams and music festivals. Florence teaches classical and gospel music (she is open to other suggestions) to children and adults of all ages. She believes students learn best in a fun and motivating environment where they are able to reach specific goals and appreciate music.
