Sep 2022-Jun 2023: Offering In-Person and Online Lessons on Sunday

Born and raised in Vancouver, Dayton has been immersed into music at the young age of 6 and is studying the ARCT certificate with Marjory Purdy at Place des Arts. Dayton received first class honours with distinction in all his theory work and first class honours in his Grade 8, 9 and 10 piano exams. He was awarded gold and silver in the North Fraser music festival in spring 2019, the Elliott Harty Scholarship in 2020, the Scholarship for Advanced Musical Studies in 2021 and studied with the renowned Terence Dawson in a Masterclass.

Dayton is currently in the French immersion program at Dr. Charles Best Secondary. Aside from playing piano every day, he teaches skating and volunteers at camps for the City of Coquitlam. Dayton is an avid hockey player, loves basketball and is an aspiring chef. Playing piano is Dayton’s means of expression and he is very thankful to have discovered this outlet. He is very eager to share his knowledge with others so that they can enjoy music too.
