Coco Liu began studying piano at age four, progressing through specialized music programs in middle and high school. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance under Dr. John Vaughan. By 2005, Coco had performed across major cities in Taiwan and Japan, including a debut recital at National Taiwan University that received positive acclaim.

Coco earned her Master’s in Piano Performance from the University of Southampton, UK, studying with Professor David Owen Norris. Recognized as the top piano student, she was invited to present a solo recital at the department’s Keyboard Open Day. In the UK, she performed numerous solo recitals, including at Turner Sims Hall and Highcliffe Castle, garnering high praise. She also served as a collaborative pianist at the University of Southampton and pursued an ABRSM teaching certificate in London, underscoring her commitment to professional growth in music education.

In 2010, Coco founded a music school in Taipei, building on extensive teaching experience, including her role in a national high school music program. She has guided numerous students to success, including acceptances into top US conservatories such as New England Conservatory of Music, Cleveland Institute of Music, and Manhattan School of Music, and a 100% ABRSM exam pass rate.

Currently based in Vancouver, Coco’s teaching nurtures technical skills, creativity, and self-motivation in piano. Her philosophy, centered around Learning, Enjoyment, Expression, and Experience, encourages students to incorporate music into their lives and fosters a lifelong appreciation for music.
