Improv for Children and Adults
Blue Chu is a performer, composer, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, musical comedian, teacher and clown, with a mandate to spread joy and kindness and make music!
Blue is a graduate of McGill University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and also studied music at Douglas College. They have been the harp accompanist for The Spontaneous Shakespeare Company and an improviser of QueerProv and Tightrope Impro Theatre. They’ve created Queerside Stories: The Improvised Musical, and co-created Peaceful Blips with Jackson Poling for the 2023 Vancouver Fringe Festival.
Blue’s most recent accomplishments include being named “Ambassador of Wonder” at Place des Arts in 2023, followed by “Ambassador of Fun” in 2024.
Blue has taught improv and musical improv to all ages at Place des Arts, Tightrope Impro Theatre, and Tri-Cities Film Studio and are passionate about inspiring students to find their unique voices and connect with others through the power of play.
