Current Place des Arts visual arts teacher

Biography

I’ve been teaching art for over seven years, and I absolutely love helping people explore their creativity using different art forms. Painting is my jam, especially oil, acrylic and watercolours – each one offers endless possibilities.

One of the best parts of my job is guiding students as they find their own style and techniques. I’m all about pushing boundaries and trying new things, encouraging my students to step out of their comfort zone and discover new artistic horizons.

When I’m not teaching, you can find me creating my own art, often inspired by nature and the intricate details of flowers. Whether I’m capturing the soft colours of a blooming rose in watercolour or the rich textures of a landscape in oil, my art reflects my deep love for the natural world.

Being both a teacher and an artist has been incredibly rewarding, and I can’t wait to keep inspiring others to find joy and meaning in the world of art.

 Artist Statement

As an artist deeply connected to nature and enamored by the beauty of flowers, my artwork is a mirror reflecting the marvels I discover in the world around me. Drawing inspiration from the intricate details of petals, the vibrant colours of blooms, and the tranquil landscapes that envelop us, I strive to capture the essence of wonder with every stroke of my brush.

My time at Place des Arts has been profoundly enriching, offering me a platform to share my passion for art with others. Through teaching and exhibiting my work, I have been able to connect with fellow artists and art enthusiasts, nurturing a sense of community and collaboration.

The theme of “Wonder” resonates deeply with me; it encapsulates the fascination I experience when exploring the natural world. Whether it’s the awe-inspiring sight of a sunrise painting the sky in shades of pink and gold or the delicate intricacies of a flower unfurling its petals, each moment holds a profound sense of wonder.

In my artwork, my aim is to evoke this sense of wonder, encouraging viewers to pause and admire the beauty that envelops them. Through my use of colour, texture, and composition, I aspire to transport viewers to a place of awe and inspiration, where they can rediscover the magic of the world around them.
