Art has always been a passion for me and a way to escape the real world. When I am creating, I can get lost in my own space, focusing fully on my work rather than everything happening around me. Making art allows the very loud world to go quiet, and I value the sense of peace it brings me.

I am especially drawn to ceramics because it is such a hands-on medium. I enjoy that imperfections can be fixed with something as simple as water and clay, allowing my work to constantly change and improve as I go.

I would love to say my work has a deep or hidden meaning, but it is meaningful to me in a personal way. My art comes from a genuine love of creating to memories of watching drawing tutorials on YouTube when I was younger. For me, art does not need to represent trauma or complex ideas, it is simply about enjoying the process of making or viewing something. As I move toward graduation and post-secondary school, I hope to hold onto my passion for art and never fully give it up.
