Artist Statement
These works were created using layers of millboard, acrylic ink and coloured pencil. In each work I sought to capture a very specific feeling: the feeling of discomfort after a sharp inhale, the eerie feeling of sudden change, the thoughts of what could have been. Like when you’ve been abruptly fired or burdened with shocking information like finding out you’re adopted, or dropping a glass object, or tripping up the stairs, or almost being hit by a car or a death in the family. These works are the moments after a death in the family.
Biography
M. Anne (Madison Anne Bassani) is a BC artist and Emily Carr student producing everything and anything her heart desires. She mainly channels her creative energy into her drawings, paintings, laborious multi-layered lino prints and textile work.

Sales are open in-person and by phone during operating hours. Sales end at 9:00pm on Thursday, December 19, 2024.
How to Purchase by Phone

- Call our Registration Desk at 604-664-1636 ext. 0 to complete your purchase. Please have your credit card ready.
- A copy of your receipt will be emailed to you. Please bring it with you to pick up your artwork. Sold artwork can be picked up during operating hours until 9:00pm on Thursday, December 19, 2024.
