Artist Statement

These ‘messengers’ are spirits masquerading as birds. They bring us messages from the other side. Inspired by the rich symbolism of birds in folklore, this series focuses on birds associated with death or the beyond and are viewed as powerful omens of transformation and change. They remind us that there are no endings, only transitions, and give us the wisdom to understand change as an inevitable part of life.
