The theme of my artworks is my personality. The sculpture of my snail/ snow leopard is how I perceive myself; independent, slow, and creative. Whereas how I want to be seen is being competent and thoughtful, as shown in my portrait head in clay. What makes my art unique is, they are personal. I am expressed in various ways which is depicted by the same hand position, representing a thinker, and the soft color palette, representing my timid character. When brainstorming I tend to use a familiar topic which is myself. I get a clearer understanding of who I am, my values, and goals, representing myself. Art is a special way I can express my inner thoughts and explore my identity to feel collected. I plan to go on to architecture to expand my artist journey. Creating art helped realizing how people feel. This is important because people interact with the space that can impact one’s mood. In the future, making art will stimulate my creativity to develop thoughtful designs. The process of art helped me develop a vital skill set I can use in the future for architecture.
