Artist Statement
“Midnight Escape” is a new addition to a visual development project I began during my time at Vancouver Film School. The project is a reimagining of the Brother’s Grimm fairytale “The Twelve Dancing Princesses”. “Midnight Escape” is an exploration of what the princesses nightly escape from their castle might look like. They find their freedom and escape for a time in an ancient set of abandoned ruins.
