Every time I show someone my artworks I get the following comment: “Wow, you’re definitely a shading person.” Shading to me is bringing artwork to life. It does not have to be realistic shading, as long as there is a light and a dark, it is good enough in my eyes. Each time I pick up a pen, paintbrush, pencil, whatever it may be, I will try to project who I am into it. Artworks that are seen as creepy or unsettling have always made me curious, hence why I tend to make them.
The Horror Show is a clay piece painted with acrylic paints. It is inspired by booths in horror theme parks that I have been to in the past and has the purpose of being a bookend. I don’t have a name for what my art style is, but it reflects the peculiar things I find throughout life.
