Clearness’- Acrylic and Pastel on Canvas 2025

I believe that clarity does not come from seeing everything clearly, but from enduring the inside of fog. I tend to be a perfectionist, so I often wait for everything to feel complete before starting something. While working on this piece, I realized that even if things are not perfect, starting can help reveal the path forward.

Arches are considered one of the most stable and reliable forms in architecture. They are often used to support weight and create strong, lasting structures. I have always wished to have something solid and dependable beside me, something that could hold me steady.

The tunnel on the left side represents a doorway into another inner world, like the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland. It connects my conscious world, to my unconscious thoughts and imagination. Through this work, I visualized arches surrounding my unconscious as a protective structure, expressing my hope that my thoughts and imagination can grow safely within a strong and stable space.

‘Unconsciousness’ – Watercolour and Coloured Pencil on Paper 2025

The idea was to fill transparent glass objects with color as a way for me to express myself. In this work, the form of the object or its original color is not important. What matters is what I am looking at and the perspective through which I see it.

Glass is naturally transparent, which allows it to hold endless possibilities of color. Rather than focusing on the physical qualities of the object, this piece encourages viewers to move beyond sight and reflect on interpretation and awareness.

By working with watercolor and colored pencil, I was able to experiment with how different colors can be blended and layered together. Through this process, I wanted to express my unconscious self. In my daily life, I often find myself following others or comparing myself to them. However, while working on this piece, I wanted to create freely and make my own choices without worrying about others’ standards or judgments. I chose glass objects, which I personally like, and decided on their placement on my own to explore my inner thoughts. I placed flowers in the foreground and painted them with a blurred effect to draw the viewer further into the space of the artwork. This choice helps guide the viewer inward, inviting them to experience the work more closely and emotionally.
