Biography

Halia, born in the US, spent 1.5 years there before moving to Hong Kong, where she lived for 5 years. Afterwards, she relocated to Canada, experiencing diverse cultures, meeting people from various backgrounds and exploring different places. This exposure to diverse environments has shaped Halia into an astute observer with a highly creative mind.

Artist Statement

We’re Different. We’re the Same
We are different in many ways, but we can still fit within the same frame and on the same canvas.

Our Dreaming Golden Tree
It is a magical picture that shows how people from different places can be friends and have fun together. The rainbow reminds us to celebrate our unique cultures and dreams and imagine a world where everyone is happy and united. Let’s be like the branches of the golden tree, reaching out to touch the sky!
