My passion for art emerged in grade 11, when I was placed in an elective art course as an EAL student. That experience became foundational, shaping both my identity and my professional path. Since then, I have explored diverse artistic styles as a means of communication and self‑expression.
For more than 15 years, I have had the joy and privilege of teaching Visual Arts in public schools. My Instinctive Geometry series grew out of the prototypes I create for my students’ projects. Making these prototypes has become meaningful practice for me, especially during the busy season of raising two children. It allows me to model creativity for my students while continuing to challenge myself. I strive to inspire them, and in return, I am constantly influenced—and often pushed further—by their ideas and perspectives.
