Watercolour and colour pencil at Poirier Library Lounge, Coquitlam Public Library

I am continually inspired by nature and strive to capture its magic by utilizing the fascinating flow of watercolours and the delicate strokes of colour pencils. These amazingly versatile mediums allow me to paint dreamy landscapes as well as detailed botanicals. Working from photographs and using limited colour palettes, I’ve attempted to capture a small portion of our vast, beautiful world.

The landscapes and botanicals in Uplifting are inspired by our serene, colourful natural environment. This exhibition aims to create a pleasant, joyful space where one can feel a moment of bliss in our otherwise rushed and busy lives and create an environment where one can be immersed in the beauty, calm and exuberance of nature. I believe painting is meditative for both the painter and the viewer, and I hope my paintings convey optimism, peace and tranquility.
