Some of the activities happening at this Family Day  include:

Comic Jam with Kathleen Gros

Inspired by classic comic jams, families will be invited to “finish the story” when provided with the first panel of a comic. Ask yourself, ‘what happens next?’ to draw the next panel. Or shake things up and decide what goes wrong. Families can also start another story for someone else to finish. Let your creativity soar!

Springtime Garden Party with Clarissa Banos

Spring is finally here, and the world is bursting with vibrant blooms! Come draw a colorful and lush garden— and add as many flowers, trees, and plants as you like. Don’t forget to include birds, bumblebees, butterflies, ladybugs, and, of course, the sun! Use fine liners for smaller details and tissue or patterned paper to cut out flowers and plants, layering them onto your design for added color and texture. Let your creativity blossom in this cheerful, spring-inspired art session!

Jazz Dance with Amanda Lau

Get ready to groove, move, and clap along to your favorite tunes in this high-energy jazz dance experience! Set to popular music, you’ll learn a short, upbeat, and energetic combo.

Play with Clay with Fraser Valley Potters Guild Association

Join members from the Fraser Valley Potters Guild to play with squishy mud and make clay creations. Make your own version of one of the projects on display or use your imagination to create something new!

Artist Demonstration by Matt Lo

Artisan Shop artist, Matt Lo, will be doing a wood carving demonstration by adding decorative texture to wooden objects. Join him at the table and you just might get a chance to try it out!
