At a glance my artwork often appears cute, soft, and visually appealing. However, beneath the surface, I use it to explore deeper emotional and social themes. I am especially interested in societal issues, like how women are overlooked and undervalued in systems like healthcare, the workplace, and everyday life. I use cute imagery to invite viewers into reflections that might otherwise go unconsidered. I also base my work on personal experiences and emotions.

My creative process usually starts with drawing and brainstorming broader concepts before I move into materials like clay, paint, or mixed media. I decide on the medium for each piece based on what feels most appropriate and how I want the viewer to take in the piece. What makes my work uniquely mine is this balance between sweetness and seriousness, and spontaneity. I don’t tend to over-plan my art, but rather see where the piece takes me during the process. The larger purpose of my practice is to make people feel something: wonder, happiness, connection, or even discomfort. I want viewers to pause and think about what they are seeing beyond the surface of my work.
