Artist Statement

This mixed media digital print embodies the tension between grace and exhaustion, resilience and vulnerability. Drawing from my lived experience with chronic illness and the constant push to appear composed, this piece layers abstraction and figurative elements to reflect the quiet fight within stillness. The masked ballerina — part poised, part unravelling, with a hint of sarcasm — invites viewers to consider what lies beneath curated surfaces. It echoes with city grit and quiet introspection, capturing the fractured beauty found in the act of waiting. Through this work, I explore how even in pause, there is power — and in every crack, light insists on entering.
