I have been in creative spaces and classes for as long as I can remember. For a long time, I disliked art classes due to the level of instruction and restriction, but as I get older and find myself in spaces with instructors that I can more effectively connect with, I see it more as a second opinion or critique for my work. I have been consistently honing my technical skills for almost two decades now and have filled over 17 sketchbooks, for every birthday I got art supplies. I am a very marginalized person with plenty of day-to-day struggle, being queer, a person of colour and low income as well as more. Every day I live and navigate a society that doesn’t acknowledge or value who I am is a day I am beating odds and statistics, simply by being myself. I value intersectionality and dream of a just and moralistic world and am a huge activist for human rights. I strive to explore the un-talked about and to be unapologetically angry about the state of my world. My works set out to stimulate senses, not only visually but emotionally as well. My subjects are products despite their environment.
