ArtReach is a community-supported summer camp program providing in-need elementary students with an opportunity to explore their creativity and participate in a variety of artistic disciplines. The program is offered to selected students from School District 43 who face socio/economic barriers to arts education and who would not otherwise be able to attend our regular summer art camp program.
ArtReach is fully subsidized and offered at no cost to participants. Students are recommended to the program by the principals and teachers of local elementary schools.
Testimonial for our ArtReach Program
“Our child has ADHD combined and FASD, and most of the time she cannot recall her day, or yesterday, let alone last week or month. I asked her last week what was her favourite part of the art camp and she thought for about 30 seconds and said, ‘oh yes, musical theatre’. I wanted to share this, as I hope opportunities like what we have been given continue not just for us, but for many others like us. We are a family of 5 children; not only is it financially difficult it is also daunting with the diagnosis that they have to find inclusive programming that is so vital for our kids’ development.”
