As both a math teacher and an artist, I’m drawn to the relationship between pattern and variation. This acrylic painting was inspired by a walk through Sumallo Grove in Manning Park. I used bold colors and shapes to suggest movement and growth, hoping to share a glimpse of the natural beauty that surrounds us.
