Artist Statement

Art has always been a crucial aspect in who I am and my daily life – a method of relaxation and inspiration alike. While I harness the freedom found in art to convey the message I hope the viewer will receive, I also strive to achieve a balance between the deeper meaning of a piece and the visual aesthetics, aiming to create a piece both appealing to the eye and encapsulating a meaning true to who I am.

While I have chosen not to pursue art as a career, it will always be cherished as a hobby and a core component of my identity as an individual, along with my other creative inclinations including wildlife photography. Due to its importance in my daily life, I believe that forcing it into a career would continuously push me create, negatively impacting both the quality of my work and the experience of the creation process. Thus, I have chosen to allow to it remain as a hobby and a lifelong process that I hope to be able to share with those around me.
