The Coquitlam Place des Arts Society provides, at no charge, its clients and visitors (each, a User) wireless access to the Internet (the Service) for the User’s internet-enabled devices. A User is bound by the terms of this Digital Access Agreement (Agreement).
By accessing the Service and becoming a User, you confirm your acceptance of this Agreement as it reads on the date of your access, and you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement, do not access the Service.
The password for accessing the Service is available at Place des Arts’ registration desk. Note that this password will change on a regular basis without prior notice to any User.
Place des Arts cannot guarantee that any User’s device is capable of accessing the Service. A User is responsible for ensuring that User has a device capable of accessing the Service and knows how to connect that device to the Service. Place des Arts staff will not offer technical assistance or handle a User’s device.
A User may plug that User’s device into an available electrical outlet in the waiting areas of the Atrium and Mezzanine or in the café. Place des Arts does not guarantee access to any electrical outlet to any User. A Place des Arts employee or representative may ask a User to unplug User’s device if the Place des Arts employee or representative determines that a safety hazard has been created.
Place des Arts will not to print any document from a User’s device, no matter how few pages. Access to the Service is provided on an “as is” basis with all risks inherent in such access. It is User’s responsibility to protect User’s device against Service interactions, including but not limited to viruses, that might impact Place des Arts’ own use of the Service.
User is solely responsible for protecting User’s device against theft or damage. Place des Arts is not responsible for damages or loss of any kind suffered by a User as result of using the Service. Place des Arts offers no warranties of any kind.
The speed of the Service may vary depending on, but not limited to, factors such as distance from an access point, the number of current connections, and the status of User’s device. Place des Arts is in no way responsible for the speed of the Service.
Place des Arts is a public area shared by Users of all ages, backgrounds and sensibilities. Each User must refrain from using the Service to view any site that is inappropriate for children. A parent/guardian of a minor User is responsible for monitoring the sites and material accessed by such minor User.
A User must not use the Service for purposes that violate any applicable laws, including but not limited to, the Criminal Code of Canada, the BC Human Rights Code or the Copyright Act.
Place des Arts reserves the right to monitor User’s use of the Service. Place des Arts reserves the right to terminate any User’s connection to the Service at any time without notice or reason. In addition, Place des Arts may withdraw, at any time and without notice, all access to the Service to any and all Users.
Place des Arts reserves the right to change this Agreement without notice.
