Place des Arts offers a warm, friendly learning environment where experienced, caring music instructors teach a variety of instruments from piano and guitar to winds, strings, percussion and brass. We make music accessible to everyone, from young children to senior citizens, and from recreational players to serious students.

In addition to regular private music instruction, we offer many complementary opportunities for students to hone their technical and performance skills:

Master Classes

Every spring we host master classes led by guest teachers. These group classes allow our students to build skills by receiving instruction and learning from suggestions given to their fellow students by the guest teacher.

Faculty Concerts

Place des Arts’ music teachers perform in faculty concerts throughout the year. These concerts are wonderful opportunities for students to learn from watching and listening to their teachers play.

Student Performances

Place des Arts’ students have many opportunities to perform themselves. Monthly student concerts, art openings and other special events are just some of the performance opportunities we provide. Many of our teachers also hold studio recitals in which their students are invited to perform.

Wide Range of Instruments

Our teachers offer a range of different teaching styles as well as instruments to study. Many of our teachers offer trial lessons and/or would be happy to speak with you in advance of your first lesson to help you decide which instrument is right for you. Or you can always drop by our annual open house in September to view our facilities and find out more about Place des Arts’ music program.

Trial Lessons

Most teachers offer trial lessons, space permitting, which provide an opportunity to meet the teacher and decide if they are a good fit for your learning style.
