Biography
Over twenty years ago, Laura picked up a brush and started playing with watercolours, and she was hooked! While not formally trained, she has taken many classes and workshops, and she is an active member of the Garibaldi Art Club and the Place des Arts alumni group. Laura paints what she loves, her inspirations come from nature and her family. Her portfolio ranges from landscapes to animals and birds to children’s portraits. Born and raised on the Saskatchewan prairies, Laura now resides in Pitt Meadows, BC.
Artist Statement
It never ceases to amaze me how beautiful this area of our province is. I am constantly inspired to recreate these local scenes in my watercolours. My goal is to share the joy that I feel and to evoke for my viewer a feeling or a memory – a connection to a place or a moment in time.
