Biography

Amolika Mankidy was born in Boston, MA and moved to Saskatoon, SK at age 2. When she was 4, she attended her first art class and instantly fell in love with drawing and painting. Throughout her travels through several countries and residing in three western Canadian provinces, art has been a constant interest. Now, at age 16, she continues to pursue art between school activities, playing the piano and walking the family dog, Moose.

Artist Statement

Amolika primarily works with bold lines and visible brushstrokes in her pieces. She uses these techniques to showcase the mediums that she works with and to demonstrate a playful approach to real-world scenes and objects. Amolika often finds herself painting landscapes and architecture from around the world.
