My paintings are derived from my travels in Europe and Canada. My work is mostly impressionistic and has strong and striking colour combinations. I love to paint reflections, sunshine, shadows and bright colour combinations in water, landscapes and flowers.
I received my early art training with a scholarship to the Banff School of Arts, winning the Brewster Award. Then, I studied at the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Alberta, followed by Honours in Printmaking at Emily Carr and a year of post-graduate work. I am an AFCA, an Honorary Life Member and former president of the Federation of Canadian Artists. I have work in private and corporate collections in Canada, the USA, France, Australia, England, Austria, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany.
