Artist Statement

I believe an important key of communication between humans is linked to the eyes. Eyes are the window to expressing one’s emotions and I use them as a way to express myself. My works are a form of healing by sharing my concealed emotions and are representative of my mental state. As I am very responsive to my environment, my designs have elements inspired by nature. To contrast the emotions, the frame of nature brings a sense of comfort and familiarity. These differences are emphasized through the use of colors/shades, which highlight the eyes in all works. As mental health is becoming worse due to the digital world, my works reflect my wish to inspire others to be comfortable with one’s emotions.
